A Diva's Christmas Tree

I am totally in the Christmas spirit now, and burning the midnight oil when I can to turn out Holiday goodness! I receive tons of unnecessary catalogs as I am sure all of you do, but one of which I love getting (okay...I have ordered a couple of things on sale) is the J. Peterman Company Catalog. It has so many drawings that inspire me often. I cut pictures from every one I get and paste them into my idea journal. Last month's catalog really caught my attention, and I decided to try my hand at it. It happens to also fit the criteria for two challenges, Simon Says Stamp and Show with "show some stars", and Our Creative Corner's (my first with them) "O Christmas Tree". I hope my tree qualifies as what they want for a tree anyway!!! And...I just found out about the Sunday Stamper's challenge "lucky stars", so I am putting this tag in that as well.

To make the tree coat I simply kept stamping with Tim's pine needle stamp until I had the shape I wanted, after I stamped Tim's dress form. I restamped several parts around the the collar and trim with a darker color ink, and then filled in with a green glaze pen.  The star is made from Grunge Paper and embossed with yellow distress powder and then again with gold powder. The shoes were free handed and then stamped on the pine needle stamp, followed by detail work with Smooch Ink. The caption is also embossed and filled in with more Smooch Ink. The rest is just bling and paper I made into tiny presents.
