Why Blog???

Most of us have a lot of things to say. I seem to have way to much to say about pretty much anything, which sometimes gets me into trouble. However, this time I have lots to say about the thing I love to do most which is crafting and creating. Don't let the word "maven" fool you though. I don't have a doctorate or anything, I just love working and building something beautiful with my hands and I want to share it with friends as well as delight in what they are doing through this blog.  Those of us that craft share a great love and passion for it and are given gifts and talents from the Lord to do so. We should all let that light shine through us and reflect the beauty of what we make with those gifts while on this artful journey!

In the coming days I plan on sharing one such journey I have completed just a few days ago. I attended the Tim Holtz "Crafting In The Caribbean" cruise with three of my besties from Texas! We had the most amazing experience visiting new places and people, and learned and crafted the neatest things ever from the man himself. He and his team really put on the best classes ever, and the scenery wasn't bad either!

Please bear with me as I learn how to blog and design it as well. The talking and writing part is easy, but I am a newbie at this and it is such a learning experience. I have definitely learned a few new things on the computer.
